All great examples but this one actually makes me laugh when I hear it.

Now your dancing child with his Chinese suit
He spoke to me, I took his flute
No, I wasn’t very cute to him, was I?

The way he delivers 'Wuzz I ?' at the end cracks me up.

He's like Shakespeare, there's so many Dylan lines that are part of our culture and people forget (or didn't know) they're from Dylan.

I took my wife, then girlfriend, to see dylan in prague in 94 (I think '94) and she went but wasn't that interested because she didn't "know" any of his songs, only to realize during the show that many of his tunes that night were ones she'd been singing all her life as czech "folk" tunes.

Hubby contributes:

Praise be to Nero's Neptune
The Titanic sails at dawn
Everybody's shouting which side are you on
And Ezra Pound and T.S. Eliot
Fighting in the captain's tower
While Calypso singers laugh at them
And fishermen hold flowers
Beneath the windows of the sea
Where lovely mermaids flow
And nobody has to think too much
About Desolation Row.

Ah, very nice. Share this.

Well, my heart's in the highlands, gentle and fair
Honey suckle bloomin' in the wildwood air
Bluebells blazin' where the Aberdeen waters flow
Well, my heart's in the highlands, I'm gonna go there when
I feel good enough to go.
